To Whom It May Concern:
I have known Michele Foy for over 25 years, first meeting her while we were both involved in The Hunger Project. Through the years it has been my pleasure to spend many hours discussing just about everything under the sun. Michele has a wide range of interests, especially in the fields of human and business relationships. Why do people and things behave the way they do? I have found her to have an intuitive grasp of situations with an ability to hear what is not being said, sometimes because the speaker hasn’t yet identified the seemingly disconnected ideas ruminating about in his or her brain. I have always been amazed at Michele’s ability to gently encourage action when she felt it was beneficial.
So, when I found myself at one of life’s crossroads, I turned to Michele Foy to help me sort out the mess. This she did with compassion and insight. I found Michele’s input more personalized than that of the two counselors whose experience I also drew on. Perhaps most valuable to me is Michele’s ability to listen, draw out, suggest, hear my feedback and illuminate what I have been unable to see because of my nearness to the situation. She has an uncanny ability to take her wisdom and experience and apply it to my circumstances in a personalized way. I came to her with my confusion, together we sorted it all out, then we put the pieces into perspective and rearranged them into a whole that was easy to grasp. Once the problem was put into perspective, the way out became clear. I was able to see where I wanted to go and what steps I needed to take to get there. What was painful has become a catalyst to a new life and new joy for me.
I am impressed with Michele’s gentle effectiveness and patience. Her support made difficult decisions and growth part of the natural flow of life, and in that way took out much of the hurt. Would I call her again if I found myself in difficulty that I couldn’t handle? You bet!
